#sol 21 March 28 Perspective

Thank you to the Team at Two Writing Teachers
For hosting this writing challenge.

I squeezed out the last drops of Trader Joe's shower gel,
Lingering in the steam with my thoughts.
I used the curling brush, taming frizzy ends
Adding smoother to my locks,
I picked an outfit, carefully,
Layering a matched sweater
I selected earrings,
Used blush, mascara,
Hoping I looked
As excited as I felt.

Today is a special day,
From my perspective.
Filled with hope and potential,
Hugs and visits,
It's Vaccination Day!

Congratulations! What an exciting day. It was fun to have the excitement build as you went, obviously a special occasion. I thought it was going to be a job interview. Vaccination Day is more exciting than anything that passed through my mind.

Congratulations! It's such a weird feeling to be excited about vaccines, isn't it? I didn't expect your post to be a celebration of vaccines either!

I like the way you described your preparation for going out. I thought you were going to get together with someone special, and then, a little humorously, it turned out to be the vaccination. Still, I can relate to your excitement. It is good news!

Fun piece, that truly takes us by surprise at the end. A poem for our times, for sure!
PS- I also dressed up for my vaccine appointments!

I love this piece! The way you talk about getting yourself ready for your vaccine - it IS an occasion, to be sure. Here's hoping it treats you well.
