February has been a hard season,
Bone-chilling cold,
Life-changing losses,
Moral-compass challenging news
Every single day.
I've tried avoiding
Social media, evening news
Sharing my thoughts.
Afraid.
Saddened.
Scared.
I've been searching
For signs
Hope.
As the sun emerged, snow melted,
Two signs emerged:
A grandchild's picture
Depicting
A friends message
"One child, one teacher, one book,
and one pen, can change the world."
Malala Yousafzai
I am hopeful March
Will bring change.

Wonderful thoughts Anita. Just as the crocuses and daffodils are signs that Spring is coming, so too the dedication of a teacher, the drawing of a Grandchild, the poem from the heart sharing vulnerability, show what humanness really means. Compassion, love, and looking after "the least of these".
It has been a very tough month, but you reminded us that if we look hard enough we can find hope. Thank you.
January and February have left me feeling exhausted & at times overwhelmed. The snowdrops & the crocuses that are beginning to pop up leave me feeling a small sense of peace and hope. Spring always signifies rebirth and new hope.
Wonderful thoughts Anita but sadly it’s going to get far worse.
