These are the glasses I wear
To avoid cars on the road,
To respect traffic signals,
To enjoy words in my book,
To floss every crevice of every tooth,
To find earrings on the floor,
To navigate slushy holes,
To appreciate blood-orange sunrises,
To savor lemony sunsets
To fully embrace life.
These are the glasses I should have
Replaced long ago!

It's funny how attached we become to our glasses. Parting with a pair is sweet sorrow.
I love this idea to your glasses. Having worn glasses since I was five, with a 25 year contact lens stint, and having all kinds of eye issues this year, I empathize completely w/ the need for a new pair. It’s not too late to treat your eyes to a new look. Take a photo and share in an upcoming post. I’ll be doing that myself in a month or two when I get new frames.
I hate having to get new glasses! But last year I got a new pair and for the first time I have remained so happy with them. I'm not merely tolerating them! Good luck with your new pair.
