I once knew an administrator who felt that libraries should be disbanded and books divided into classrooms. Yes, books should be in classrooms and also in libraries. In fact, I've long dreamed of being a librarian who gets to spend their days exploring new books. 've dreamed of KNOWING all the great new authors and focusing on the best books available for kids! FINALLY, one small GOOD THING that has come out of the Common Core experience: Librarians are valued!
Libraries and librarians SHOULD be at the epicenter of schools and our society!
