#celebratelu 2014 Portraits of MLK Jr.

Discover. Play. Build.

This week(end) there is much to celebrate!
A three-day weekend after two full weeks of school,
This view outside my classroom,
Portraits of Martin Luther King Jr.,
Reminders that while his years were short,
His timeless messages are still
Reverberating in our classrooms and hallways.

Do not judge by skin color,
(or race, religion, looks, disabilities....).

Education should teach
To think intensively and critically.
MLK Jr

Thank you AB and ND for the use of your class's artwork.

The portraits are wonderful, Anita. As they worked, I imagine them thinking of Dr. King, & all that he accomplished. Thanks for showing them!

His message still resonates, doesn't it - even more so these days, alas.

I look around my classroom and imagine how proud Dr. King would be and it brings warmth to my heart and tears to my eyes! I love your art work and the message.
