When you ask a 2-year old
To set the table,
You will probably get
Lots and lots of spoons.
You will probably get
A soup spoon, an egg spoon,
A cheese spoon, a grapefruit spoon
Even if you are not having
Soup, eggs, cheese and grapefruit.
After the table setter finishes,
She will be proud of her work
And, you will clap and cheer
Because, you asked
A 2-year old to set the table.

Ha, I have not entered this stage as I have an 8 month old but I can only imagine and I like the idea of emulating a children's book. Bravo! Simply satisfying post.
LOVE that! Just that thrill of helping needs to be documented.

Love this! It's so fun when they start to help. I have a 4 year old daughter who loves to help. She's actually starting to figure it out, but it took a while.
I love the picture :)
Love this post and the accompanying pic!
You made this seem so effortless! In fact its such a clever use of the pattern.
I especially liked your variety of spoons, and the line, "even if you are not eating..."
The photo is the cream on top. I hope you share this with your two year old in about 10 years :)
I LOVE this poem :)
