#sol20 March 14 It's Really Big

I really wanted to write
Today's slice about this
Fire station
Under construction
It's really big,
With a really big hose
To put out really big fires
It's really memorable, but,
The library is closing
For at least two weeks.
Closing a public library
Is really big
With really big impact,
It's really memorable, but,
Not in a good way.

REALLY sad. Same thing for my city/county library.

It is really sad. But I'm trying to realize I have so much here, right in front of me. Books, paper, a backyard, neighbors, a dog, and my family. OH and this incredible TWT group of writers! We will get through this!

I understand why libraries should close, it I’m devastated. The kids don’t have any books. I swear. Can I stand out front of the school and they drive by and I give them books through the car window.? BTY, your structure is spot on for the message.

I recently read this quote: "Libraries always remind me that there are good things in this world." To see them go makes me fear for communities ... for humanity. There's so much truth and power in your words here.

I wrote about my mad dash to the library yesterday before its closure until at least April 13th. There's something very scary about libraries being closed, even though I understand. Libraries are top on my list of favorite places because they offer what they have to all!
