#sol15 March 8 When you give Amazon a cookie...

Those "cookies" swarming the internet must be watching how much time I spend on the computer.  They must be listening in on my conversations! They MIGHT even be watching what I am snacking on while reading SOL posts!  They seem to know a whole lot about me!

First, I should "confess" that while I love scouring the bargain racks for a good bargain at TJ Maxx and get a chuckle when the "hosts" at Target refer to me as their "guest," I don't get to those places all that often. My days are filled with teaching, commuting and care-giving and my weekends are full of prepping for teaching, cleaning and care-giving; thus, I search the web before I go anyplace and do much of my routine shopping through Amazon or other Internet based shops. It's just too easy.  Find it, click it, and the amazing "drones" get it to my house faster than you can say "Start your engines."

Saturday morning, I was bemoaning that my jeans were a bit tight and I needed to do get back into a daily exercise routine.  You know, the," It's gonna be spring soon and I need to take off this sweatshirt feeling."  I had spend too long "SOLing" and I had done a bit of bill paying before I headed to the treadmill.  I did my requisite mile but the mental list of what i needed to do was swirling in my head so I headed back to the computer.  I had promised to find my mom a pair of comfy stretch waist jeans.

I typed "stretch waist jeans" into the Amazon browser and this is what came up! http://www.amazon.com/Pant-Stretcher-Heavy-Instant-Stretch/dp/B00AZNK1RO

INCH-MASTER® Waistband Stretcher
Now my mother's problem is that she is so thin her jeans will not stay up; however, the "cookies" in my computer sensed I was doing the shopping and suggested that perhaps I needed a waist stretcher for my jeans.  Sigh, perhaps they are right; however, I am going to give up on "cookies" and get on the treadmill a bit more before I honor their suggestion for me!

That picture of the pant stretcher is hilarious! Seriously, our "cookies" know too much about us!

Yup! I HATE when my internet trail thinks it knows better than me! In Chrome I like to use the incognito setting so that my trail is harder to follow:)

You're cookies are clearly very rude! I'm going to have to pay more attention to what Amazon suggests for me.

I like your title. What an interesting mix up of your plans and 'cookie'-mind.

I guess this means that cookies --no matter what form they come in-- are no good for our self-esteem (or waistline)! Great slice!

This is also what I warn the students about. They need to be careful about the keywords they use; sometimes interesting (& no appropriate) links pop up! Good luck on the 'no' cookies, Anita. I feel the same way. Must make some changes to get ready for the beach!

Funny! Sometimes I want to click on the links facebook thinks I want to read--- just because they are so ridiculous... but then I'm worried that I'd be teaching it it was right!

Loved the spin of the words and the thinking behind them today. Sure wish I had your mother's issue of pants falling off, guess I need to eliminate the cookies, brownies, banana bread, pasta, etc.

21st. Century humor! It's a bit bewildering how much our computers know about us...yikes.

I have been facing from my favorite jeans and after checking the reviews page of the pant stretcher, my jeans is now flexible. I thought I have to lose it. But this is amazing. You can check out my website.
