Ivan and His Remarkable,True Story

Katherine Applegate's The One and Ony Ivan was as sad, but wonderfully written story about a real life gorlilla.  I didn't realize that the stroy was real when I first read it, but I wondered and quickly did a Google search to confirm my speculation.

Long before the CCS told us to do so, effective readers have questioned and sought confirmation of the content in narrative texts.  We often wonder if this could be true.

Thanks to Ivan, the Remarkable True Story of the Shopping Mall Gorilla  (Applegate and Karas) we now have pictures and details to answer those questions that will inevitably surface.
