Oct 27 Clear Message

On my way home today, there were the usual pumpkins, ghosts, and goblins hanging from trees reminding anyone who might have forgotten to buy candy (me) to get their act together. I have noticed there are fewer of those dreadful (IMO) blow ups laying pathetically among the leaves and wonder if they have served their time and now live in landfills.

Then, as I came around a corner, I saw 3 houses in a row with great big flags hanging outside homes where those long ago popular holiday flags once hung. These flags were not faded like the usual ones and clearly these were planned and purchased as clear and vibrant reminders of the civic duty we all need to do. I must admit I had never seen flags reminding people to vote before, but I am glad that others realize the importance of a clear message for our country's leaders.
