Just like I would do on
Christmas Eve,
First Day of School Eve
First day of Vacation Eve.
There is a bit of excitement in the air,
That you can feel
When you know there is
Potential for becoming
A writer amidst a community
Of wana-be, trying-to-be
Learning-to-be writers
Of wana-be, trying-to-be
Learning-to-be writers
Looking for and finding
Small, interesting moments.
I'm excited,
Scared,
Nervous,
Filled with butterflies,
Hoping to find
That writerly-perspective
I'm excited,
Scared,
Nervous,
Filled with butterflies,
Hoping to find
That writerly-perspective
That energy
That empowerment
During this challenging
Month ahead.
During this challenging
Month ahead.

Love the "eve" connection and excitement! Deep breath and here we go again!
What a fun post! And I do have that sense of something big is about to happen. I'm never sure if it's excitement or fear . . . probably a little of both.
I feel exactly the same way! There's the excitement of starting, but worry that my strength might fail part way through.
It's exciting to be part of the wanna-be, trying-to-be, learning to be writers.
Nice to see I'm not the only person who refers to today as SOL Eve!
Looking forward to opening the gift tomorrow (and every day in March).
This expresses exactly what I am sure many of us feel! I love the "wanna-be, trying-to-be, and learning to be writers." Perfect!
Love this little poem - the idea of Slicers Eve is great!
