This Sunday, the TWT Annual Slice of Life Challenge will begin, meaning we will write and read each other's writing for every day in March. I've been doing it every year since 2012, and every year around this time a little bit of me wonders if I will be able to find enough "slices" to fill the days even though I know I do not need to write about a trip around the world or classroom miracles! Every year around this time, a part of me gets really excited, like going on a trip or perhaps even first-day-of school anticipation because the SOL Challenge starts on Sunday.
"Why do this," she asked as if it was a choice,
I will look more closely at the awakening earth,
The adventures of family, the experience of living
To see if a slice is hiding in plain site.
I will be inspired by other writers who share
The adventures around the globe,
The tales of families, students, the wonderful
The mundane aspects of life that bind us.
Someone might just notice my thoughts, ideas,
Lift me up with their words, comments,
I will be, in March, a writer
Who really does needs to write
Every day!
