Although the Harney's Paris was delightful.
We did not come for the food,
But, the cucumber sandwiches,
Fit for a queen.
We did not come for the ambiance,
Yet it was decorated in lovely,
Salvaged tea elegance.
Most drove for hours,
All left laundry and dust balls, behind,
Some came between exams,
Others between lesson plans,
Still others, amidst wedding plans.
We came to see, to share, and to remember,
While life is complex,
Distance grows as family expand,
While busy lives make it hard
In the garden of life,
Friends and family are
The most beautiful flowers.

This is the second tea post this morning. I have a bit of positive envy with your post because it has been a very long time since I had fancy afternoon tea.
What a beautiful high tea with beautiful people! I love the way you intertwined the tea with the meaningful relationships with loved ones.
I love this post! There is nothing like a tea room to bring out all the feelings of friendship.
What a lovely way to celebrate friendship. Thanks for reminding me about Harney's Paris. I haven't had that in ages.
