#sol22 March 13 A Cold

I woke up, stuffy,

Sinuses stretched,

Thinking, "This could be Covid."

I'd been super careful, until this week

Got a test, negative.

Masks off after .....two years

I haven't opened a box of tissues in.....two years?

I haven't been stuffy in ......two years!

I haven't had a cold in .....two years!

Now, I have a cold,

Two years after we went into hibernation for two weeks.

"Two years after we went into hibernation for two weeks." Right? We simply had no idea what was ahead. Listing the symptoms you haven't had for two years is a unique way to mark the time. Very relatable.

Good that it was not Covid. Sad that the stuffy nose makes you feel uncomfortable. I hope you will feel better soon.

It is something how these days at the first sign of something thoughts of Covid pop into our minds.

My neighbor tells me to test for Covid, even though I'm pretty sure I just have a garden variety cold. I'll always remember how I felt so supported by this community as we entered that two week/two year hibernation. Good thing we didn't know then how long it would last.

It definitely stinks that at the first sign of illness we think it's covid. And now at the first sign and on the first day, I take my kids to the doctor when I would have never done that before!
