Thanks for your thoughts on this because I too struggle greatly with celebrating anything while such horror is happening on the other side of the globe. I wish I had some comforting thoughts, but I don't. It's a very sad time.
It is truly intense, this world we live in. One thing gets a little bit better, and then things fall apart in whole new ways. Masks off - take a moment to delight in faces. But, yes, we are all praying for Ukraine/so many people hurting. Thank you for this poetry - it beautifully touches on the tension of this time.
